Teach me anything | PAUL LEGRAND

Hi, a bit late on this one, but here I am.
I just read Louise’s message and I couldn’t agree more!
Thank you for sharing these presentations.

I decided to talk about one of my university topics : the concept of normalcy in society.
I hope you enjoyed it and I’ll see you guys on Friday.

Hi Paul, what we need here is some indepth critiquing about your own teaching and about the others’ lessons. What did you like about your lesson, what do you wish you had / hadn’t done. Then comment on Louise’s, Giftys…… highlights and suggestions…

    Hi Paul,
Thank you again for your “Teach me Anything Task”! I enjoyed that you decided to teach us something you usually teach your students in class, it was a good idea to start with as it seemed evident how comfortable you were with the concept. I thought it was good that you used some gesture as well to explain what you were saying as it was definitely a challenging concept to understand for us (not being in the same field as you). For a first lesson, I would have probably gone for an easier thing to explain though… And I enjoyed that the dialogue was open with us to ask questions at the end too!

Alright, I picked the normalcy topic because the college students really dig it. I always try to find topics that the learners can relate to, and therefore, could be interesting to them. Initially, this is a 3-4 hour class, so I would say that doing a 5-minute presentation was a bit challenging even though I tried my best to sum it up the best possible way. It would have been better if I could have shown a short video, maybe some other time.

Concerning Louise’s presentation (pancake recipe), I really enjoyed the visual aspect of it. Louise showed us a pan and even the final result. The explanations were thorough and perfectly adapted to the audience.

Regarding Gifty’s presentation (Ghana), it was great as well. She shared her screen and used a slideshow explaining the topic. I’d still say that we ran out of time at the end of the Zoom call, and because of that, the ending was a bit rushed. We didn’t have too much time to discuss Gifty’s presentation. Nevertheless, the elocution was great and Gifty seemed to enjoy talking that topic.

    Let’s meet again soon!
