Jonathan Davies - The Director of TEFL Toulouse

Jonathan's CV

Jonathan Davies, originally from Exeter in England, has been working as an EFL Teacher Trainer since 2001, and as a Course Director since 2006. He has 20 years of experience teaching English as a Foreign Language, in Spain, France and the UK. He first fell in love with Toulouse as an exchange student in 1991, and taught his first ever English lessons there, so he is delighted to be back to offer the only externally validated TEFL Certificate course in  South West France.

Jonathan originally comes from a school teaching background, gaining his PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) in TEFL and Modern Languages (Spanish and French), with his resulting area of expertise in Classroom Management and  Young Learners. He gave seminars about these for British Council centres in Spain during his time teaching at the Young Learners' centre in Barcelona in the mid 1990's. He also holds  a Postgraduate Diploma in Translation from Spanish to English, and is even a qualified Educational Travel Tour Director for France and Spain -so he knows these two countries inside out!

More recently, he taught English as a Foreign Language at the Universities of Barcelona and Exeter, and at The Cambridge Centre in Toulouse. Before opening TEFL TOULOUSE, he spent over two years as the Course Director at TEFL PARIS, and before that spent 12 years in Barcelona, where he was a teacher trainer at our friends TEFL BARCELONA,  INTESOL SPAIN, and other teacher training centres in the city.

Away from work, Jonathan is very enthusiastic about 3 things: road cycling, (although the bike photo above wasn't his idea!) music, and restaurants! He lived in Barcelona for over a decade cultivating these things, before settling back in Toulouse. He is a great fan of the city and an even greater one of the surrounding regions. Who better to welcome you to La Ville Rose!
